The controller boasts features that are found only in much more expensive systems. The main controller board measures just 120 x 64 mm, yet is fully programmable and can drive three motors simulteously. This, with suitable power supply and driver board, is all that is required in a basic configuration. By adding a master controller, however, the system can be greatly expanded as it can daisy-chain up to 16 slave controllers. A master controller moreover has a keypad and liquid crystal display for user operation and interaction. The master is programmed using a simple version of BASIC using Windows based PC software. The controllers are available in kit form or as fully-built systems, including power supply and drivers for most types of size 17 and 23 stepper motors.
